Pendik Municipality Competency Development and Employment Centre (YETGİM) Feasibility Study
A feasibility study defining the service model and investment needs of a training and employment centre planned in Pendik.
- Feasibility study
- Economic and social research
- Guided project application
The need
The absence of a dedicated centre in the area to meet the demand for skilled labour in Pendik and its surrounding sectors through training and employment services paved the way for the establishment of YETGİM. Without a data-driven analysis of which sectors, occupations and target groups should be prioritised, it was not possible to design such an investment with the right service model. In response to this need, Pendik Municipality carried out the YETGİM feasibility study with Focused Investment Preparation support from the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA).
Force & Brothers’ approach
Force & Brothers prepared sector and labour-force analyses to identify the sectors, occupations, target groups and services on which the centre would focus. Our team translated the results of these analyses into the centre’s service and investment model, prepared the guided project documents submitted to the Istanbul Development Agency and managed the funding application process.
Outcome
The study produced a data-driven service and investment model defining which sectors and target groups YETGİM would focus on and which services it would provide. This enabled Pendik Municipality to submit a strong, well-justified funding application to the Istanbul Development Agency for the establishment of the centre.
