Ensuring Educational Support and Coordinated Service Delivery in Ignalina District Municipality
A project improving coordination between education, health and social services for children with special educational needs and their families in Ignalina.
- Capacity building training coordination and stakeholder communication
- Training content development
- Technical coordination
The need
In Lithuania’s Ignalina district, children with special educational needs and their families cannot access the support they need in a regular and holistic way because of a lack of coordination between education, health and social service institutions. Because services are delivered independently of one another by different institutions, families face repeated applications throughout the process and children cannot reach the support they need in time. The project was developed to close this gap between institutions and to give service delivery a coordinated structure.
Force & Brothers’ approach
Force & Brothers is responsible for coordinating the project’s online capacity building programme, and our team has managed the setting of the training agenda, stakeholder communication, technical delivery, simultaneous interpretation support, attendance tracking and quality assurance processes as a whole.
Outcome
By the end of the capacity building programme, specialists working in education, health and social services had gained a common working language and coordination practice, enabling children with special educational needs and their families in the Ignalina district to access services in a more regular and sustainable way.
Deliverables
