The investment and implementation process of a technology centre established to provide testing, analysis and certification services to the chemical sector.
The need
Chemical sector companies in Türkiye were unable to access the testing, analysis and certification services they need for their export and R&D processes on an accredited basis from a single centre, and this prompted the first step towards establishing the Chemical Technology Centre. Because these services were provided in a fragmented way and largely from abroad, there was a gap that held back companies’ competitiveness and slowed their accreditation processes. In response to this need, the Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (IKMIB), with the support of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, carried out a technology centre investment to provide accredited services to the sector.

Force & Brothers provided project management and technical support during the centre’s investment and implementation process. Our team ran procurement, financial reporting, team building and recruitment, all stages of project management and coordination between stakeholders end to end.
Outcome
At the end of the investment and implementation process, the Chemical Technology Centre, which offers testing, analysis and certification services to the chemical sector under one roof, was launched in December 2023 following a 9-month project implementation period. As a result, companies in the sector can now access the accredited services they need for their export and R&D processes from Istanbul.
