Led by the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM) and implemented with the consultancy support of Force & Brothers, the initiative aims, over its 12-month journey, to give women strong skills in artificial intelligence and data science and to expand their employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the technology sector.
“Women in AI” is a comprehensive step aimed at bringing women to the centre of the technology ecosystem. Through the AI School, more than 125 women will receive basic and advanced training, giving them a solid introduction to artificial intelligence and data science, one of the most critical fields of the future.
Beyond the training, participants will receive one-to-one mentoring and career support from leading experts in the sector, accelerating their professional development through direct access to job and internship opportunities.
The Build a Team Programme, designed specifically for women entrepreneurs, will support those who want to bring innovative AI-based business ideas to life. Women entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to come together with the right teams and turn their projects into sustainable business models.
In addition, the Digital Talent Finder Interface to be developed will make women’s technical competencies visible and connect them quickly with employers. In this way, women will not only receive training but will also have the chance to take concrete career steps in the sector.
All of this work will go beyond individual development and contribute to social transformation. Through policy development and awareness-raising activities, women’s representation in the technology ecosystem will be strengthened, and lasting progress on equal opportunities will be achieved through public–private sector cooperation.
Aiming for women to take a more visible, stronger and more sustainable place in the technology sector, “Women in AI” stands out as a pioneering initiative that will play a transformative role in Istanbul’s digital economy ecosystem and contribute to equal opportunities in society.
