Using a data-driven and participatory approach, the workshop set out to answer whether a new-generation institutional structure is needed to strengthen the sustainable growth, international competitiveness and institutional capacity of Türkiye’s chemicals sector. Held with the participation of public authorities, academia and sector representatives, the event made it possible to consider the findings of the pre-feasibility process on a shared basis for evaluation.
During the day-long workshop, findings drawn from international examples, academic analyses, focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with public institutions were shared with participants. Through the structured table sessions and digital voting that followed, the five most critical structural needs of the sector awaiting solutions were identified. In the second part of the workshop, three alternative institutional models in light of these needs — a new agency structure, a high-level board / committee model and the strengthening of existing structures — were discussed against multidimensional criteria and assessed comparatively. The assessment, shaped by participants’ individual and collective contributions, produced outputs that can serve as a concrete roadmap for decision-makers.
Designed and facilitated by Force & Brothers, the Collective Intelligence Workshop provided a strong analytical basis for the next phase of the pre-feasibility study: the detailed institutional design and policy development process.
